LOCATION

Baron Island or ‘Isla Mayor’ is located in the Spanish Mediterranean coast, inside the Mar Menor, in the former Kingdom of Murcia, previously the ‘Cora de Tudmir’, territorial boundaries within Al-Ándalus as established by Emir Abderramán II in the year 825.

ORIGINAL BUILDINGS

Baron Island has always been developed and kept eco-sensitively: nature has been preserved to the maximum and its only few buildings and constructions have been built from local materials. Ongoing conservation of these original buildings and of the island’s fleet of classic wooden boats add to its sense of timeless simple comfort, exclusivity, privacy and tranquility.
